HOLINESS BECOMETH THINE HOUSE

Going inside the spirit of these words leads us to the sacred silence that fills our soul with complete peace. As we do, our soul becomes a house that is whole and true. How this is done is by daily practice. Our house becomes whole over time. When we take note of the times when we have not been whole because of our response to the things of this world it serves to provide a correction. As we correct our responsive attention to that which brings wholeness it serves to continue to build a firm foundation for sustained true expression. As we make the corrections in love for the soul that we have rather than being mad at ourselves it also serves to move us forward. Holiness becometh our house as we continue to orient to the place that fills us with peace and oneness.

IN SALEM ALSO IS HIS TABERNACLE…

The word “Salem”can also be translated as ‘peaceful’ or ‘peace.’  “In peace also is his tabernacle…”  As we gain a greater understanding of what is said through the words of the psalms and the whole bible we can see more how they apply. Here in this verse we can gain a greater appreciation for the presence of peace in the vast expanse of what is meant by  ‘his tabernacle.’ Even in the largeness of what is termed as a tabernacle great peace can be found. May we apply this to the tabernacle that surrounds our circumstances as well as our world.

…AND THEY THAT LOVE HIS NAME SHALL DWELL THEREIN. #2

I find this verse to be a heart catcher especially. I do notice I had talked about this verse last week. When I read it again in my considerations of the psalms I was again struck by the nature of its spirit. AND THEY THAT LOVE HIS NAME SHALL DWELL THEREIN. In considering these words I find myself entering into a spirit that is settling and very peaceful. A spirit that puts everything in perspective especially the things that may have been a challenge for us to handle. As we enter into this spirit the things we may have found ourselves reacting to or engendering the feelings of anger, demand and fear are dissipated. To acknowledge the gift of spirit that these words bring I find are worth repeating and considering. May we continue to wax strong in grace in stature as we abide in this love.

O GOD, THOU ART MY GOD; EARLY WILL I SEEK THEE

Early will I seek Thee. These are good words to ponder. What does it mean to seek early? Seeking early relates to putting first things first. God really is the source of our animation that causes any of our feelings and any of our thoughts even to be. When we do not put emphasis first on that which is of God we will find our thoughts jumbled and our feelings disturbed. Putting emphasis first on the things of God does relate to putting first attitudes of thankfulness, understanding and even forgiveness. As we align ourselves accordingly we will be early in seeking the Lord and consequently the Lord can then find us in providing what is needed in every moment our living. A former boss of mine would tell us that “if we are not early we are late.” Being early does prevent the need to nervously play catch up during our days as well as putting us in the rhythm that makes for grace and peace.

HE IS AT MY RIGHT HAND, I SHALL NOT BE MOVED

When we are with the Lord we know the power of His nature. No aberration of this world can then move us from abiding in peace and confidence. Even though our awareness of this may wax and wane we may know a continual confidence that stems from the  Lord while we live in this world.

SPIRITUAL READING

Taking the time to consider spiritual things is vital to keep your mind and heart oriented to what is true. As we do so it allows a strengthening to occur that brings a perspective of what is true and what is not. This can be especially important to the thoughts and feelings we may have that may be challenging. When we ground ourselves in the consideration of what is true we will have the fortitude to move though stressful times into a greater experience of grace and stature. Take the time and know peace from within and greater perspective!

PRAISE THE LORD O MY SOUL

Praise the Lord with your whole heart! With all your soul.  This  way nothing can be available for the evil ways of this world. Give it all and you will have it all of peace and fulfillment.

SOUND IN THY STATUTES

Being sound in the statutes of Lord gives the experience of assurance. Assurance stems from a deep sense of thankfulness for the life that has been given to us. All of us have been given life directly from the Lord. As we gratefully acknowledge this gift it allows us to be sound in His statutes bringing the experience of peace and tranquility.

The Verses as a Gift

When we experience times of more intense challenges the verses are a gift to orient to in moving through these times as graceful and victoriously as possible. Read them with feeling and meditate on them with a feeling of great thankfulness and gratitude for the gift of spirit contained within them. As you do you will find the peace of salvation present with you renewing your experience and giving you a sense of new life direction.

When the Words Become the Experience

I have been considering how as we meditate upon the words of the bible including the psalms something begins to dawn in our awareness relative to having a compass. Even before we may think of what is required in our living there is something guiding our way. As we pay attention to this guidance it leads us to remember our integrity. Our integrity that gives us a sense of right and wrong. Our integrity that leads us into steps we may not even have been aware of the previous day. As we so open to this guidance and take the steps that we would take to be true to it we are given a sense of assurance. Here the words become the experience of the spirit so contained from the words. Let’s keep moving with our integrity and so experiencing peace and soundness and direction.
