When you feel stressed turn to the Healing Verses!

I live by the adage that when you feel stressed turn to the things of God. When you do you are never disappointed.  Sometimes there are times when you do not feel like doing this. This is a clear signal that your orientation is off and that it is time to give thanks to recognize that you are off the mark. As you do this you will find something melting in your heart that brings to remembrance your love for the things of God. At this point you will find that as you read a verse from the Psalms or the bible your heart will further relax and give even deeper thanks for the spirit carried through the words that bring comfort and tranquility. I also appreciate the words that the kingdom of heaven is always at hand as you allow yourself to be in position to receive it.

WHERE TO TURN

We are all faced with stresses or challenges in our life some with more intensity than others. What do we do when faced with such challenges. One way is to turn and read and meditate on a verse in the Psalms. For many many years now many people have done so. And the verses are still available to be turned to. They have been a gift for centuries and will continue to be a gift for centuries. Sometimes when something has been around for so long it is taken for granted. It is something to note that the things that have stood the test of time have tremendous value in the present moment NOW. Turn to the verses in the Psalms when you have a need and you will fill an invigoration and a cleansing of spirit that renews and brings a fresh perspective as well as steps to take to meet whatever challenge you are facing.  We can keep moving forward in our lives as we turn to things that matter that put oil back in our lamps lightening the way to see the steps ahead of us.

Making All Things New

We are gifted with the words of the Psalms that can bring a newness and a refreshment to our lives. As we come upon the words that settle our hearts and refresh our minds, our body’s can feel the relaxation of a healthy feeling coming upon it. Here healing can be initiated and continued to repair what is needed as well as allowing for us to feel a healthy experience. Let the words of the verses be received as a gift with all the good feelings a true gift brings.

How well can we forgive?

At  times we may feel the irritation of seemingly being badly done by. How well we can forgive in these situations plays a part in the development of our character and our sound contribution to this world. When we turn to reading a healing  verse and immerse ourselves in the spirit of it something can be made new whereby our hearts come to  rest and our minds can think sensibly. The gift of the provision of healing verses are at hand. Turn to them as needed and continue moving in the direction of greater character and stature. The world needs you.

Spiritual Vitamins

I have been finding that upon opening Healing Verses of the Psalms and reading until I find just the right verse to start  my day has served as my daily spiritual vitamin. I have been filled with wonder as I receive the qualities of relaxation, peace and strength in reading ‘just the right verse.” I would invite you all to receive the spiritual enrichment I have been finding by just opening the book in the evening or morning and reading until you find the verse that brings you strength and invigoration. It should not take long and many times it will be the first verse you set your eyes upon.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51

Such beautiful words especially applicable when we may feel like nothing is working and that there is too much wrong. As we remember to keep a clean heart a heart that is thankful, appreciative, patient and PRAISEFUL  then we are renewed in spirit. Let’s keep these things in mind when our  experience seems to signal to us doom and gloom.  Let’s abide in the place that we are meant to live letting all things be made new.

In the LORD put I my trust…

What does this mean? It means that trust can be put in the LORD that centers our worlds. As we come to the centering point in our lives we remember our commission to bring the integrity of the LORD on earth.  The integrity that discerns what it takes to offer an influence into the world that blesses. That provides a sound sane light filled influence into the world. An influence that causes others to be stirred to remember the influence they are to bring. An influence that brings upliftment and reinvigoration. An influence that brings all that would come into the influence of integrity and dispels that which is not of integrity. In the LORD put I my trust does relate to letting your world be cleansed and made new bringing life and life more abundantly. So let us live.

The Beauty of the LORD our God

And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us… Psalm 90

Also such beautiful words. As we enter into the spirit of them a door is opened to know a state of beauty. A state where all is in place. A state where we know ourselves. How do we let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us? By lifting up our eyes and minds and hearts acknowledging that such a presence exists and has  always existed.  As we give heed to this state we are gifted with the beauty of true peace.  Here life is worth living because as we so abide we offer this beauty and peace into the world and we so know our destiny moment by moment. Let us so live.

I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

This psalm verse strikes me particularly in the way it urges us to have a perfect heart. A perfect heart that is clear of resentment, of discouragement and of a lack of orientation. As we are oriented in the direction that brings us peace we realize that it is with a perfect heart that we may function productively in our living. A perfect heart that is filled with thankfulness and givingness to have this day to live and to be able to  bless others.

A Blessed Man

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

These words of Psalm 1  bring to mind how we can live a life that is delighting.  It is very good

to catch ourselves when we find ourselves in agreement  with that which is distorted and not

of the character of what is true. It is also good not to stand in the way of blocking the rightful

expression of integrity through ourselves and others. Lastly, whenever we find ourselves scorning

something it is also good to catch ourselves from falling into the destructive patterns of hate.

As we so catch ourselves and stay true to an integrity that allows for the refreshing and renewing currents

of God to move through us we are indeed delighted.  Let us so live!
