How well can we forgive?

At  times we may feel the irritation of seemingly being badly done by. How well we can forgive in these situations plays a part in the development of our character and our sound contribution to this world. When we turn to reading a healing  verse and immerse ourselves in the spirit of it something can be made new whereby our hearts come to  rest and our minds can think sensibly. The gift of the provision of healing verses are at hand. Turn to them as needed and continue moving in the direction of greater character and stature. The world needs you.

Finding our Purpose

As we read the words of the Psalms contained within them is a call to find our purpose. A purpose that calls us to be upright and true. As we live with such integrity a sense of purpose infuses us day by day becoming clearer and clearer and stronger and stronger. If you feel like there is no purpose in life or that you may have lost your purpose the words contained in the Psalms can be starting points to  reopen your awareness for the meaning of your being. There is a reason way you are here. Just follow the path that is given to you. One way that is given to all of us are the words given through the Psalms. Read them, as you do something of a feeling will begin to be recognized that brings your heart to rest and your mind to an awareness that you are here for a reason. This reason is to be shared with others. You have gifts of life to give to others. As you provide them you will know a greater sense of purpose. Do not let the down casting thoughts generated from the skewed imbalances of the world take sway within your heart and mind. Make a choice that regards the words, “until the upright there ariseth light in the darkness…” Hold steady and keep providing what you can for others!

Why Read Healing Verses?

Obviously we may turn to reading the verses when we are feeling challenged. And it is good to do so. Ultimately the reason to read them is that we find steady ground ourselves so that we are then in position to assist others who are feeling challenged. Our lives are really fulfilled as we assist those we are in direct contact with as well as those who we do have an influence with. We need to open our eyes to how we can serve others sometimes just by sharing our stable presence with them. Here is a key to fulfillment and the reason for reading the verses.

Healing Verses are Sacred Words

Why is it that when we feel stressed many of us turn to the things that would allay our turmoil. For some the things turned to may not be constructive. It has been said in times of stress are our greatest moments for growth and the development of character. Turning to the verses in the Psalms when feeling challenged are a way to direct our feelings and thoughts to that which would be constructive. As we consider the words and hold them sacred something  of encouragement and light does arise. We have been gifted with the words not only for times of  stress but also for times to cultivate a sense of right orientation in our hearts and minds. Let’s keep oil in our lamps by considering the words of the Psalms and the bible in relaxed times also so we have a reserve available for when we are faced with challenges.

The Spirit of the Verse

If you think about it when we read or think of a verse in the Psalms or in the bible there is something beyond the just the words. The spirit of the verse is that something and if we are keen to acknowledge it as we consider the physical words it allows for a door to be opened. A door that allows us to open up and blend with the spirit of the Lord. Here there is the experience of peace, joy and an infilling of life and so much more. I feel it is good for all us to open to the Spirit of the Lord as we meditate on a verse. Obviously there is more than just reading and as we remember that it  is this Spirit that gives us life we will be further enriched and enlivened in our experience.

WE ARE NEVER BEREFT

The verses of the psalms as well as other verses in the Bible give us all touchstones for our hearts and minds to be given the spiritual food that is necessary for invigoration and wisdom. I have acknowledged in my life that when things seem very tough the words that come across my mind are “turn to the things of God.” Turning to read a verse in the psalms is a way of turning to  the things of God. We are never left bereft. The provision for what we need to come back to a place of peace and perspective is always at hand. It is said that there are more bibles circulating in the world than any other book. Know that you are never bereft and turning to the things of God in tough times and in quieter times is essential. Let there be some time in each day  spent on cultivating our connection and communion with the things of God. Here we can know a life that gives us a sense of  gratitude and appreciation for the life that we do have.

When the Words Become the Experience

I have been considering how as we meditate upon the words of the bible including the psalms something begins to dawn in our awareness relative to having a compass. Even before we may think of what is required in our living there is something guiding our way. As we pay attention to this guidance it leads us to remember our integrity. Our integrity that gives us a sense of right and wrong. Our integrity that leads us into steps we may not even have been aware of the previous day. As we so open to this guidance and take the steps that we would take to be true to it we are given a sense of assurance. Here the words become the experience of the spirit so contained from the words. Let’s keep moving with our integrity and so experiencing peace and soundness and direction.

Spiritual Vitamins

I have been finding that upon opening Healing Verses of the Psalms and reading until I find just the right verse to start  my day has served as my daily spiritual vitamin. I have been filled with wonder as I receive the qualities of relaxation, peace and strength in reading ‘just the right verse.” I would invite you all to receive the spiritual enrichment I have been finding by just opening the book in the evening or morning and reading until you find the verse that brings you strength and invigoration. It should not take long and many times it will be the first verse you set your eyes upon.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him… Psalm 91

Yes here we have the answer to all concerns and problems. When we  have an issue in our lives it is great to remember that the Lord is calling upon us all the time in times of need and in times of plenty. How shall we answer. We answer with the eternal words, “Here am I.” As we take this stance we remember that as we answer with such words we open ourselves to the invigorating influence that comes from our Lord. Here we are uplifted and uprighted to abide in a place that says yes “Here am I,” and that we are willing to honor the life given to us by keeping  our integrity and trust that all things  work to perfection. So let us remember and know the reality of trust when we are challenged that we may indeed honor  the name of the Lord.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51

Such beautiful words especially applicable when we may feel like nothing is working and that there is too much wrong. As we remember to keep a clean heart a heart that is thankful, appreciative, patient and PRAISEFUL  then we are renewed in spirit. Let’s keep these things in mind when our  experience seems to signal to us doom and gloom.  Let’s abide in the place that we are meant to live letting all things be made new.
