It is good to see that the law of the Lord is something that can be wonderfully received in our heart and mind. That as it is received it gives us the peace of understanding. I MUSE ON THE WORK OF THY HANDS

As we consider the many works of nature and acknowledge a source of all that naturally is an inspiration dawns on us that is exhilarating. Here we breathe in wonder and awe that stops us in the moment to appreciate. I find it interesting that the word muse and musical begin the same way. Let’s continue to appreciate the works of God springing through the works of our Lord in this day and time. For here we open to the music of the spheres blending in the harmonious experience of all that is.

THOU MAKEST THE OUTGOINGS OF THE MORNING AND EVENING TO REJOICE

When we are engaged in being unified within ourselves inner and outer with the Lord we find there is a wonder and joy in living. There is a song in our heart as it is said. To be unified inner and outer does take something. It takes a review each evening of our doings for the day. In this review things such as what and how we ate as well as the successes, victories and challenges we faced are good to consider. When we consider them we can acknowledge what we did well and also what we can do better. Ending with a written prayer to the Lord  is also helpful to put the day to rest and to set the stage for the next day. As we continue self tracking with prayer we find joy and rejoicing increasingly in our outgoings in the morning and the evening. Lets stay in such a way!

THOU SHALT SEE THE GOOD OF JERUSALEM ALL THE DAYS OF THY LIFE

The good of Jerusalem is the good of the life activities all about you. As we are centered in the place where peace can flood through our hearts we can see what is actually good. Good in terms of that which is abundantly filled with joy, with strength and with decency. Sure enough we may have thoughts that waft through our minds that are aberrant and off the mark but we do not have to pay attention to them. Think of them as just debris floating down the river. We can see it but do not have to jump on and drown with it. Just let it pass on through. The more we are centered in our right places the quicker the debris can pass because to do not judge it or be offended by it. Just let it go. As we do so our attention is available to appreciate the true life activities around us in which we can assist in enhancing. As we do so we shall see good all the days of our life.

HOW SWEET ARE THY WORDS UNTO MY TASTE!

When we are in position to receive the words of the Lord we find a deep satisfaction describable as sweetness and joy. To be in position to receive these words regards the matter of the state of our hearts. A disturbed heart can not  receive until there is a reorientation to thankfulness, appreciation, patience and praise. Praise to the Lord for the opportunity we have at hand to honor his love and to extend His character into the earth. As we are in such position we taste the sweetness of the presence of the Lord and at the same time extend His presence on earth. Here is joyful fulfillment.

HARKENING TO THE VOICE OF HIS WORD

How do we harken to the voice of His word. By listening with an open heart and mind even though there may be a sense of resistance within oneself. How to we hear the voice by listening to what is said to us through other people who have our best interests at heart. Here again we may resist what a friend may be advising us. However recognizing the resistance in oneself is part of the process and in of itself is not to be resisted or fought against. As we simply come to rest with a situation letting patience give the necessary time to decipher thorough a circumstance we find that we can hear the voice of the Lord with a sense of gratitude for making a wise path through a experience that may have been a repetitive one. Finally as we harken to the voice of His word through hearing the words of our real friends we come to a new experience of living letting go of the destructive repetitive tendencies in ourselves from trying to get our own way to knowing  the way that brings soundness and joy.

LET THE FIELD BE JOYFUL Psalm 96

We have a choice to let the field of what emanates from us to be joyful or not. It is our choice to choose to live with attitudes of thankfulness and gratefulness and patience to let our mental and emotional fields come alive with the joy of love.

The Spirit of the Verse

If you think about it when we read or think of a verse in the Psalms or in the bible there is something beyond the just the words. The spirit of the verse is that something and if we are keen to acknowledge it as we consider the physical words it allows for a door to be opened. A door that allows us to open up and blend with the spirit of the Lord. Here there is the experience of peace, joy and an infilling of life and so much more. I feel it is good for all us to open to the Spirit of the Lord as we meditate on a verse. Obviously there is more than just reading and as we remember that it  is this Spirit that gives us life we will be further enriched and enlivened in our experience.
