No matter what occurs keeping in mind the depth of spiritual agreement that is inborn in each of us will keep us moving wisely through our lives. Whether things seems to be good or not too good acknowledging our covenant sets the tone for a honorable life.
HE THAT DOETH THESE THINGS SHALL NEVER BE MOVED.
Psalm 15 has keys to abiding in the tabernacle and dwelling in the holy hill of God. As these things are done we shall never be moved out of the experience of excellence and high understanding. It worth the time to consider such matters as the following:
Honoring those who revere the Lord
Speaking the truth in our heart
Not putting our money out to usury
Not taking reward against the innocent
Not doing evil to our neighbor
Not taking up a reproach against our neighbor
Backbiting not with our tongue
Walking uprightly
Doing right.
THE WORDS OF THE LORD ARE PURE WORDS: AS SILVER TRIED IN THE FURNACE OF THE EARTH, PURIFIED SEVEN TIMES.
How are our words purified in the circumstances of the our life? When we recognize words that we may have spoken as ‘not right,” do we take note and let it serve as a new reference point for future conversations. As we try the words we speak in the fire of purification we do much to serve the Lord in increasing His influences on earth as well as finding greater fulfillment in our lives. Let’s let our words be tried in the furnace of our interchanges with each other. And be patient in the process, it may take at least seven times before we get it right.
THOU WILT PREPARE THEIR HEART
The correction we feel we need to make in our lives is prompted by our integrity which is a gift of awareness from the Lord. At times we may not feel like it is a gift rather it may feel more like a thorn in our side. When we do acknowledge the changes we need to make and actually make them we are further gifted from the Lord with more abundant life. Granted it may take a little time to notice the benefits of the changes. Hang in there and in time you will rejoice.
HE FORGETTETH NOT THE CRY OF THE HUMBLE
What is the cry of the humble? Is it a cry of desperation or does it relate more to a stance of humbleness toward the Lord? Do we cry out only when we are in pain or in a dire need? Has God really forsaken us? The presence of the Lord is always at hand. It is our attitudes that determine whether we cut ourselves off from His presence and really forsake ourselves. The attitudes of thankfulness, appreciation, patience and ever constant praise keeps us open to allowing the presence of the Lord to find his way in and through our lives even in times of desperation or abundance.
SPIRITUAL READING
Taking the time to consider spiritual things is vital to keep your mind and heart oriented to what is true. As we do so it allows a strengthening to occur that brings a perspective of what is true and what is not. This can be especially important to the thoughts and feelings we may have that may be challenging. When we ground ourselves in the consideration of what is true we will have the fortitude to move though stressful times into a greater experience of grace and stature. Take the time and know peace from within and greater perspective!
AUTOPILOT
When we fill ourselves with the words of the Psalms something can begin to ingrain in our hearts that lets our minds be directed by the spirit contained in the verses. As we are filled full it allows for something of the nature of an autopilot navigation whereby we are moved to act according to the spirit of the Psalms that we have come to love. Read and consider the verses and a course can be set for our lives. A compass can be set for the choices we make from our hearts and minds unified as one.
BEAUTIFUL PSALM OF JAMES
The wisdom that is from above is first pure then peaceable, gentle and easy to be intreated full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy.
CAUSE ME TO KNOW THE WAY WHEREIN I SHOULD WALK
Being open to knowing the way wherein we should walk brings perspective and wisdom. Openness regards an open and thankful heart. As we keep such a heart the way is revealed to us.
THOUGH THE LORD BE HIGH,YET HATH HE RESPECT UNTO THE LOWLY…
The lowly are the humble and those that keep their honor. Their honor and integrity mean the most to those that are considered lowly in this verse. As we keep honoring the Lord through the integrity and honesty of our living the Lord does have respect for us. Respect that brings his abundant love and encouragement into our hearts and minds. Lowly does not mean graveling in the dirt for the sins we may commit. As we honestly view our actions and correct any misguided ways we may have we lift up our heads as the Lord would have us do and move on with our living knowing we are instantly forgiven and needed to carry on the work of increasing the name and influence of the Lord on earth. Let’s let our living be an example of honesty, honor and integrity as we have been uniquely designed to be.
