THOU SHALT SEE THE GOOD OF JERUSALEM ALL THE DAYS OF THY LIFE

The good of Jerusalem is the good of the life activities all about you. As we are centered in the place where peace can flood through our hearts we can see what is actually good. Good in terms of that which is abundantly filled with joy, with strength and with decency. Sure enough we may have thoughts that waft through our minds that are aberrant and off the mark but we do not have to pay attention to them. Think of them as just debris floating down the river. We can see it but do not have to jump on and drown with it. Just let it pass on through. The more we are centered in our right places the quicker the debris can pass because to do not judge it or be offended by it. Just let it go. As we do so our attention is available to appreciate the true life activities around us in which we can assist in enhancing. As we do so we shall see good all the days of our life.

EXCEPT THE LORD BUILD THE HOUSE, THEY LABOUR IN VAIN THAT BUILD IT

Such simple words to guide our living. Let’s look deeper into what they mean. Letting the Lord build our house relates to letting our relationships be designed by His creativity by His patience by His perspective. Do our relationships build a surround around ourselves that gives evidence of the purposes of the Lord and of increasing the nature of His integrity on earth. As we answer these questions for ourselves we may need to let go of old things and let go to seeing what would indeed increase the nature of the Lord’s influence on earth.

PEACE BE WITHIN THY WALLS

Peace is present within ourselves as we are honoring and giving thanks for the life that we have. This life has caused us and is causing us to be. It is something that precedes all our feeling and thinking. It is our conscious responsibility to allow this life  to have unhindered expression through our hearts and minds and out through our body. In order for this to happen our emotional realm needs to be like still waters undisturbed by the cares of this world for the animating currents of the source our being to move across. Our mind’s responsibility is to be a guardian of our heart to keep the still waters. Our mind is to discern what matters and what does not. It needs to give value to that which keeps a tranquil heart. As it does peace is within our walls!

HE THAT KEEPETH THEE WILL NOT SLUMBER

As we keep the word of the Lord central in our heart we are awake and alert to His integrity and nature. Oh if the disciples did not slumber in the Garden of Gethsemane something different may have occurred back then which could have changed the course of history. Everyday we have a chance to change the course of history as we are awake and alert to extending the name of the Lord  on earth by the living of life of integrity. By meeting those times that arise when we are tired and the pressure seems to great just extending an hour can make all the difference!

GREAT PEACE HAVE THEY THAT LOVE THY LAW

If we are not having great peace then there is something to look at regarding our love for the law. The law that is not temporal rather the law that is eternal. We have been designed to function according to eternal law. Not a law that that is set by man a law that that has been set by God in the creation of this world as well as ourselves. This law involves how we hold in our hearts the qualities congruent with the nature of life that abounds in all the natural world. This law that causes grass to grow trees to reach to the skies and for new babies to be born. This law is the law of creation. It springs from the eternal source of love received by the womb of the truth. When we are feeling that lack of a sense of peace remember there is a law that governs all the natural world. Take note and appreciate this natural world with depth of feeling and you will return to abiding in the law and experiencing that great peace.

THY WORD IS VERY PURE: THEREFORE THY SERVANT LOVETH IT.

The word of the Lord is very pure. In order to know this our hearts must be untroubled. In order to have an untroubled heart it needs to be oriented in the eternal light of love constantly being emitted by our Lord and King. How we orient our hearts comes from mentally choosing the attitudes of thankfulness, appreciation, patience and praise. As we treasure these attitudes we can receive the  pure word  of the Lord that invigorates and gives perspective. With perspective we can see our temporal affairs in the light of the eternal  fretting not letting time reveal all things in the living of life now.

HOW SWEET ARE THY WORDS UNTO MY TASTE!

When we are in position to receive the words of the Lord we find a deep satisfaction describable as sweetness and joy. To be in position to receive these words regards the matter of the state of our hearts. A disturbed heart can not  receive until there is a reorientation to thankfulness, appreciation, patience and praise. Praise to the Lord for the opportunity we have at hand to honor his love and to extend His character into the earth. As we are in such position we taste the sweetness of the presence of the Lord and at the same time extend His presence on earth. Here is joyful fulfillment.

TURN TO THE TRUTH THAT YOU KNOW

When you are feeling stressed or even when you are feeling well it is good to turn to the truth that you know, for example a psalm verse. When you do you are in essence putting oil in your lamp. The lamp that allows you to see what is clearly at hand to do or to be thankful for. As you turn in this way you are building or replenishing a reserve necessary for perspective to be kept and wisdom applied to living.

CAUSE HIS FACE TO SHINE UPON US

How does the face of the Lord shine upon us. His face shines upon us when we forgive others and ourselves. His face shines upon us when we are expressing His nature of joy, of blessing, of thankfulness. His face is always shining and it is through our faces that He shines upon the world. Let us be about these greater works.

The Healing Verses an Opportunity to Receive the Truth of Love

The verses in the psalms are an opportunity to turn to the truth to resonate with it. As we do resonate with the truth that springs from the essence of love we will feel comforted and encouraged especially in challenging times. However why wait for challenging times. It is good to turn to the truth when feeling great in acknowledging a reality that is causing all things to be. There is a verse in the psalms that states, “before I was afflicted I went astray.” In times of feeling great it good to keep in line with the truth setting up a future that continues to bring increasing peace and a greater experience of life. Let’s keep in mind whether we find ourselves in challenging times or so called easier times let’s always give thanks for the truth that is and that is always gifting us with the love that is springing from it.
