DELIGHT THYSELF ALSO IN THE LORD; AND HE SHALL GIVE THEE THE DESIRES OF THINE HEART
I find this a wonderful verse to consider. May you find the same.
THE LAW OF HIS GOD IN HIS HEART; NONE OF HIS STEPS SHALL SLIDE
As we keep the law of the LORD in our heart something extends out from us that sets the way of assurance. Here our steps are sound and sure!
THE MEEK SHALL DELIGHT THEMSELVES IN THE ABUNDANCE OF PEACE
As we mature in following the ways of the LORD we become increasingly aware of the consequent peace that results. I have found ways to know more in this respect. With my HeartMath work there is a procedure in all its tools called heart focus. This is where you simply focus your feeling attention on your heart. As I do this I find a greater sensing of peace in the midst of my moments. It especially helps when I may be feeling stressed. However. when the intensity in my life is off doing this allows me in my more quieter moments to experience a greater sense of wholeness and spiritual communion. Try it for yourself and see how it may help in knowing and following the ways of the LORD.
REST IN THE LORD…
Rest in the LORD are words that point to the experience of refreshment. I have found that as I turn to reading and considering something of the nature of the LORD like a psalm verse I come to rest in sweet peace. A peace that brings my heart and mind to a refreshing rest. Let’s continue to make the time to know that sweet peace of the LORD.
LET NOT THE FOOT OF PRIDE COME AGAINST ME…
This reminds me of another psalm verse, “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” As we love the law of the Lord we will be able to see if our pride comes against us. In this case human pride. Human pride takes offense. Divine pride sees things without reacting. It continuallly honors the nature of the LORD through the expression of ourselves. It points to the essence of what the words mean, “forgive them for they know not what they do.”
Let”s honor the LORD by the expression of our living here we find our divine pride and our human pride no longer holds sway.
HOW EXCELLENT THY LOVINGKINDNESS
We have to slow down enough to see the lovingkindness of the LORD that is all around. It abounds in the tiniest of plants to the largeness of the sky. Slow down and see the abundance and let it fill your soul to overflowing. Know the excellence of the lovingkindness of the LORD. Praise the central spirit that animates all!
THE LORD NIGH UNTO THEM THAT ARE OF A BROKEN HEART, AND SAVETH SUCH AS BE OF A CONTRITE SPIRIT.
Even in our darkest moments the LORD is near and renews our soul as we yield all to Him. Let our paths be made straight as we know the way of the LORD.
TRUST UNDER THE SHADOWS OF THY WINGS
As we abide under the shadows of the wings of the LORD we know a sense of trust, of wonder and of joy.
How do we abide under the shadow of the LORD?First is giving heed to knowing that there is one individualized aspect of God who provides the apex point of control in which all others including you and me are focalized. That one is the Lord of Lords. As we accept this wonderful truth our lives begin to take on a new name offerring that which is coming from God out of heaven into the earth through us.
Abiding under the shadows of the wings of the LORD is acknowledging that there is a King that we all find centering in and that it is our love to do so. Here the shadow of the wings of the LORD really is a radiant shadow that fills our soul’s to overflowing. Here we then extend that radiance on earth through us providing warmth, security and love to all in our world.
Let us so abide.
SAY UNTO MY SOUL, I AM THY SALVATION
This is an interesting verse to consider. At the time when it was said it was a call to the LORD to say unto the soul that made the statement. We can also consider it in a way that makes us think more about when we use the word “I.” “I” really is a most powerful word. When we think of ourself as an I what do we think who I is?
Is it someone scared, unfit, bad etc?If we do have such thoughts we need to take our response away from them. The reality is that each of us is a being of God. Here is our birthright and our responsibility to extend the influences of God on earth.
As we acknowledge that we are to be unified in and of the spirit of the LORD we can find how we blend and integrate with doing our integrated works on earth.
So when you use the word “I” consider what you are thinking and saying whether it is in line with who you really are. If not you will feel the off balance of not being true to yourself.
If what your are saying is in line you will be able to know what the words mean, “say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.”
