Coming to an understanding that God really does ruleth unto all the ends of the earth is profound. God has to have a place for His influences to be sent out from. In this verse it is described as Jacob. Jacob really is the place in ourselves that is allowed to be ruled by God. As this place is established in ourselves then God can extend in and through ourselves to all the ends of our world. As each of us provides this place within ourselves then truly God can rule unto all the ends of the earth. It does take something for us to allow God to rule through our lives. Let’s continue to open to what that really means so once again there may be the kingdom of heaven reestablished on earth.
FOR THY MERCY GREAT UNTO THE HEAVENS
The mercy of the Lord is vast and all enfolding. When this awareness dawns in our conscious awareness it becomes easier and easier to understand and forgive the things we sense we may have done wrong or the wrongs others may seem to have done to us. The mercy of the Lord allows us to open up to something large as quickly as possible to see things in perspective and not be derailed from our steady course in waxing strong in grace and stature by reactions within ourselves as well as our reactions to others. Let’s open to the mercy of the Lord and keep moving forward faithful and true.
THE SACRIFICE OF GOD
In the days when the psalms were written, “sacrifice” often meant slaughtering a living creature including birds, lambs, rams, bulls; even human sacrifice was practiced. Sacrifice has since come to mean something very different, such as enduring pain and suffering or giving up something one loves or loves to do. However, even in the psalms it is noted that God does not require that kind of sacrifice, but rather the sacrifice of a “contrite heart,” in other words, forgiveness, thankfulness, devotion, true humility and especially loving God and one another.

Consider these words in the depth of heart. I find as I do there is an overfilling of strength and invigoration. My hope is that you find the same sensation and spiritual gifts at hand.
AND NOW,LORD, WHAT WAIT I FOR? MY HOPE (CONFIDENCE) IS IN THEE
Another word for hope is confidence. As we know to wait on the Lord, to wait upon the wisdom in knowing when to act and when to wait we increasingly know a confidence and trust that things will work out fine. Sometimes when we are challenged by a situation we may act frantically which makes the circumstance seem hopeless. If we remember just to upright our self and take a deep breath in orienting to honor the Lord in our expression we will find the “breath of life” sustaining us and giving us just enough patience to let wisdom be received into our heart and mind knowing a confidence that allows us to handle such moments with mastery.
THE STEPS OF A MAN ARE ORDERED BY THE LORD: AND HE DELIGHTETH IN HIS WAY
Our steps are put in order as we listen to what those steps would be of the Lord. It is not a complicated thing to discern those steps for they are what we would do naturally anyway. When we are influenced by that which is not natural being prompted by such things as envy and dislike we find our steps are disordered. When we recognize the steps that are in character with the presence of the Lord such as those of joy, love and understanding and move accordingly we find that we are blessed. We find that it is a delight to live in this way.
TRUST IN THE LORD, AND DO GOOD; SO SHALT THOU DWELL IN THE LAND, AND VERILY THOU SHALT BE FED
As we do good regardless of our circumstances, in honoring the Lord, we come to know a trust. A trust that gives us the assurance that our needs for such things as food and shelter will be met. Even greater so we will know what it means to dwell in the land of the Lord. A land where we know a sense of fulfillment as we engage in the doings of our living.
