The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Sometimes we may need the discipline of the rod to come our senses so we can more fully appreciate the gentle touch of the staff of the Lord. Either way the Lord is always with us. As we do discipline ourselves that we may know more continually the beauty of His love we treasure the life we do have. Rest in His love.
We need each other. None of us have been meant to live a solidary life. We all have something unique and invaluable to give to each other. With each other we keep alive our OWN SOUL!
As ethereal as this may sound. Maybe there was a time when unicorns existed. Whether it is more fact or myth being heard by the Lord is a constant. The question is how well are we letting the Lord be heard by us.
I would say these words say it all. Let’s be true to them.
